Turner: Energy,as his debut solo exhibition, traces the artist’s fieldwork across vast and varied landscapes — the SonoranDesert, the Rocky Mountains, El Picacho del Diablo, and the Acropolis — culminatingin London, not as an endpoint, but as another site where energies converge,refract, and transform. More than a record of travels, the exhibition unfolds adeeply personal narrative of growth and commitment.
Throughout Turner’s process, the word energy recurred — to describe the lightfalling on the back of a banana tree, the overwhelming vastness of a foreignmountain range, the fleeting encounter with an albino deer, or the sheerintensity of colour in its most elemental form. This exhibition began with thatword — and the desire to follow where it might lead: to the shifting edgebetween beauty and danger, fragility and strength, transience and endurance.
